How to: View Keys and Key Groups

After you have assigned a key to one or more key groups and selectively activated or deactivated the key, you can view which keys in a table belong to a key group.

To view keys and key groups

  1. In the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Development Environment, on the File menu, choose Tools, and then choose Object Designer.

  2. In Object Designer, choose Table, and then choose the Design button to open Table Designer.

  3. On the View menu, choose Keys. The keys that have been defined for that table are displayed.

  4. In the Keys window, on the View menu, choose Show Column.

  5. In the Show Column window, select KeyGroups, and then choose the OK button.

    The Keys window now displays a KeyGroups column that lists the key groups that any of the keys in this table belong to.

    Note

    To enable a key, in the Keys window, select the Enabled field next to the key. To disable a key, clear the Enabled field.
