Description

Windows Phone 7 applications can use a Unified Access Gateway (UAG) Server to work with secured SharePoint resources. This lab will focus on using UAG to access secured SharePoint resources. Objectives

In this hands-on lab, you will learn how to access SharePoint resources from a Windows Phone 7 application using UAG.

  • Learn how to authenticate to SharePoint using UAG from a Windows Phone 7 application.
  • Learn how to attach the appropriate headers to Web requests to access secured SharePoint resources.
  • Learn how to handled successful and failed authentication attempts.

Note:
The following prerequisites are not included in the Setting Up A SharePoint and Windows Phone 7 Development Environment Module installation instructions. If you are using a development machine built according to the Setting Up A SharePoint and Windows Phone 7 Development Environment Module instructions you must install these components.

Note:
This lab requires setting up a UAG server and publishing a SharePoint web site with the UAG server. Please see the Building Windows Phone 7 applications with SharePoint 2010 Products and Unified Access Gateway (UAG) white paper for instructions that describe how to set up a UAG server and publish a SharePoint web site for Windows Phone 7 application access.
