Microsoft Sync Framework Licensing

The Microsoft Sync Framework SDK and redistributable packages are currently available for download. Sync Framework allows developers to create rich Windows-compatible applications and solutions for online and offline collaboration.

  • Use of the Microsoft Sync Framework SDK is restricted by the terms of use in the End User License Agreement (EULA) for the SDK. Installing the SDK requires that you agree to its EULA. By default, the EULA for the SDK is installed to C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Microsoft Sync Framework\2.0\License Agreements.
  • Use and distribution of the Microsoft Sync Framework redistributable packages is restricted by the terms of use in the EULA for each redistributable package. Installing a redistributable package requires agreeing to its EULA. By default, the EULA for each redistributable package is installed to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Sync Framework\2.0\License Agreements.

In addition, Microsoft licenses specifications and a source code porting kit to developers who want to implement Microsoft Sync Framework solutions on non-Windows platforms.
