This binary property contains the security descriptor for the item. The security descriptor contains the item's primary owner and group, and a discretionary access control list granting and denying various rights to particular users and groups. The Microsoft Win32application programming interface (API) provides numerous functions that can be used to manipulate the security descriptor. Applications must not manipulate the security descriptor directly.
