MTA TCP/IP threads parameter is non-default

The Microsoft® Exchange Server Analyzer Tool reads the following registry entry to determine its current value:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeMTA\Parameters\TCP/IP threads
If the Exchange Server Analyzer finds the value for TCP/IP threads present and set to anything other than 2, a non-default configuration message is displayed.
The TCP/IP threads value is the maximum number of message transfer agent (MTA) dynamic address module (DMOD) threads that handle RFC1006 connections. This number is multiplied by two for the two subtypes (Driver and Async Notify) of RFC1006 threads. On X.400 directory replication bridgehead servers and dedicated public folder servers that handle a large number of connections, it is recommended that this value be modified from its default of 2 to a value of 10.

To configure the TCP/IP threads value
Open a registry editor, such as Regedit.exe or Regedt32.exe.
Navigate to: HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeMTA\Parameters
In the right pane, locate and double-click the TCP/IP threads value.
In the Value data field, enter the appropriate value and click OK.
Close the registry editor and then restart the Microsoft Exchange MTA Stacks service for the change to take effect.
