[This topic is intended to address a specific issue called out by the Exchange Server Analyzer Tool. You should apply it only to systems that have had the Exchange Server Analyzer Tool run against them and are experiencing that specific issue. The Exchange Server Analyzer Tool, available as a free download, remotely collects configuration data from each server in the topology and automatically analyzes the data. The resulting report details important configuration issues, potential problems, and nondefault product settings. By following these recommendations, you can achieve better performance, scalability, reliability, and uptime. The Microsoft® Exchange Server Analyzer Tool reads the following registry entry to determine the TCP/IP NSPI Port setting for the Microsoft Exchange System Attendant service:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeSA\Parameters\TCP/IP NSPI Port
If the Exchange Server Analyzer finds that the value for TCP/IP NSPI Port is set to a value below 5000 (decimal), a warning is displayed.
If you must set TCP/IP NSPI Port to a static value, it is recommended that you set it to a value that is just over 5000. Assigning static port numbers under 5000 may cause a port conflict with another process and lead to failure of the Exchange System Attendant service process.

Navigate to: HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeSA\Parameters
Double-click the TCP/IP NSPI Port key, and set the Value data field to an integer just above 5000 (decimal).
Close the registry editor.
