Adds a user agent, which is typically in the form of a search bot, to receive the XML file that contains the data of the form for indexing, instead of the HTML rendering of the form.

stsadm -o addexemptuseragent

**   -name <User agent name>**

Parameter name

The name of a valid user agent, such as the following default values:

  • Crawler

  • Googlebot

  • Microsoft Search

  • MSNbot

  • MSoffice

  • Slurp

These user agents represent search bots that are commonly used in an enterprise environment. If a different search technology is being used and InfoPath files are not being indexed, you can add additional search bots for that technology to the collection. For additional information about the ExemptUserAgents, see ExemptUserAgentCollection Class ( on MSDN.
