Token-timeout: Stsadm property (Office SharePoint Server)

Description

Specifies the amount of time before a user token times out.

Note

This property is available only from the command line.

Syntax

stsadm -o setproperty

-propertyname token-timeout

-propertyvalue*<A valid time interval, in minutes>*

The syntax for the getproperty operation is:

stsadm -o getproperty

-propertyname token-timeout

Note

You can substitute -pn for -propertyname and -pv for -propertyvalue.

Property values

The following table shows possible values.

Gets or sets the name of the property.

propertyvalue

A valid time interval, in minutes. The default setting is 1440 minutes.

Remarks

This property applies to the entire farm.

The use of Stsadm will only affect the ContentService Web service property and not the AdministrationService Web service property. If you want to affect the AdministrationService Web service property, you must use the Object Model. Examples

To set a valid time to 2000 minutes, use the following syntax:

stsadm -o setproperty -pn token-timeout -pv 2000
