Microsoft Connector for SAP BI
The Microsoft Connector for SAP BI consists of a set of three components that let you extract data from, or load data into, an SAP NetWeaver BI version 7 system.

The documentation for the Microsoft Connector for SAP BI assumes familiarity with the SAP NetWeaver BI environment. For more information about SAP NetWeaver BI, or for information about how to configure SAP NetWeaver BI objects and processes, see your SAP documentation.
Important
Extracting data from SAP NetWeaver BI requires additional SAP licensing. Check with SAP to verify these requirements.
Components
The Microsoft Connector for SAP BI has the following components:
- SAP BI Source—The SAP BI source is a data flow source component that lets you extract data from an SAP NetWeaver BI version 7 system.
- SAP BI Destination—The SAP BI destination is a data flow destination component that lets you load data into an SAP NetWeaver BI version 7 system.
- SAP BI Connection Manager—The SAP BI connection manager connects either an SAP BI source or SAP BI destination to an SAP NetWeaver BI version 7 system.
