Evaluate System Center 2012 R2
To evaluate the components in System Center 2012 R2, you can download preconfigured virtual hard disks (VHDs) from which you can create virtual machines. Each virtual machine runs one of the components in System Center 2012 R2.
To create the virtual machines, you need a host server running Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2012 R2 with the Hyper-V feature installed. Each VHD has the software needed to create an individual virtual machine.
