Verify the migration
It is assumed that you chose the default setting for the redirection policy (Basic—Redirect everyone’s folder to the same location), and that this policy setting applies to the domain administrator.
Follow these steps to verify that you migrated your redirected folders successfully:
To verify the migration
While you are logged on as a domain administrator, open the shared folder that you created for redirected folders. You should see an empty directory (unless users have logged on between the time when you completed modifying the GPO and now).
Log off all administrator sessions across all the computers on your domain. (Locking the terminal with CTRL-ALT-DELETE is not sufficient.)
Log on as a domain administrator, and open the shared folder that you created for redirected folders.
If you chose the default Target folder location option (Create a folder for each user under the root path), you should now see a subfolder named Administrator. If your folder permissions allow, you should see that your old shared folder still has an Administrator subfolder, but it is empty.
If you chose the Target folder location option Redirect to the following location and your folder permissions allow, you should now see the administrator’s files for the redirected folder.
