Welcome to Microsoft Expression Encoder, an advanced application for encoding your audio and video media into files suitable for online streaming, live streaming, and playback from mobile devices. With Expression Encoder, you can encode your files using Microsoft Silverlight templates, which allow you to take advantage of the rich media capability of Silverlight. You can import a variety of file formats and encode them as Windows Media, MP4, or IIS Smooth Streaming files. You can also perform full-motion screen captures and encode those for presentation. Whether you are a professional compressionist, the video specialist for your company, or a hobbyist encoding personal videos to upload to the web, Expression Encoder can help you produce high-quality media.
