[Starting with the .NET Framework 4.5, Windows Identity Foundation (WIF) has been fully integrated into the .NET Framework. Creates an impersonate-capable WindowsIdentity from a Kerberos unique principal name (UPN) by using the local claims to Windows Token Service (c2WTS).

Parameters

  • upn
    The Kerberos unique principal name (UPN) of the Windows identity desired.

Return Value

Returns WindowsIdentity. The Windows user specified by the UPN.

Thread Safety

Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
