ODBC Desktop Database Drivers version 4.0 includes the following ISAM files for Excel:

32-bit ISAM

Microsoft Excel versions

Msexcl40.dll

Odexl32.dll

3.0, 4.0, 5.0, 7.0, 97

The Microsoft Excel driver cannot read Excel files that have a format earlier than version 3.0. However, these files can be opened in a later release of Microsoft Excel and saved in a version 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, 7.0, or 97 format that the driver can read.
