7/8/2014

Review the Keyboard Filter WMI provider classes for Windows Embedded 8 Standard (Standard 8).

The File-Based Write Filter (FBWF) WMI Provider supports run-time access to FBWF through the FBWF API. The remote management capabilities of WMI can also be used for remote administration of FBWF.

In This Section

  • Fbwf Class
Retrieves information about File-Based Write Filter (FBWF) configurations for both the current session and the next session, and allows you to change general settings.
  • FbwfMemoryConfiguration Class
Contains information about memory usage and the cache threshold configuration of the FBWF, and can be used to change memory related settings.

Note

We recommend setting the authentication level to PacketIntegrity or PacketPrivacy for remote clients when you connect to WMI providers under root\standardcimv2\embedded when using WMI scripts or applications. For more information about how to use authentication with WMI providers, see this Microsoft Web site.
