WiFiCallingOperatorName
Note Starting with Windows 10, version 1703, this setting can no longer be used in provisioning packages. For more information on changes to the Windows Provisioning Framework, see Windows Provisioning Framework. This setting may have a Configuration Service Provider (CSP) equivalent that can be used instead. To determine if a CSP for this setting exists, see the description below.
Operator name to be shown when the phone is under WiFi calling.
Note To fully configure this customization, you must also create an MSCF customization answer file that specifies BaseDll
and LanguageDll
assets. Using the Windows Imaging and Configuration Designer (ICD) command line, you can use the MCSF customization answer file together with the Windows provisioning answer file to build a mobile image. For more information on how to do this, see To build an image for Windows 10 Mobile or Windows 10 IoT Core.
To customize the name of the mobile operator that will be displayed when the phone is using Wi-Fi calling, you can set WiFiCallingOperatorName
in one of the following ways:
Use a localized MUI string – To do this, set
WiFiCallingOperatorName
to the name of the resource-only .dll file and specify the string offset that corresponds to the mobile operator name. For example: @DisplayStrings.dll,-101.Use a non-localized string – To do this, set
WiFiCallingOperatorName
to the string that corresponds to the mobile operator name. For example: Contoso.
If you don't set a value for WiFiCallingOperatorName
, the device will always display SIMServiceProviderName Wi-Fi, where SIMServiceProviderName is a string that corresponds to the SPN for the SIM on the device. If the service provider name in the SIM is not set, only Wi-Fi will be displayed.
