Note   Starting with Windows 10, version 1703, this setting can no longer be used in provisioning packages. This setting may have a Configuration Service Provider (CSP) equivalent that can be used instead. To determine if a CSP for this setting exists, see the description below.

Settings for the AT&T hotspot plug-in authentication implementation.

Hotspot plug-in probe URL and path

The AT&T hotspot plug-in implementation performs authentication by connecting to www.msftncsi.com/nsci.txt. In some cases, when www.msftncsi.com/nsci.txt is in included in an allow list, authentication will not be performed by the hotspot plug-in and this results in a connection failure.

To provide a better user experience, OEMs must set the probe URL and path for the hotspot plug-in to something other than www.msftncsi.com/nsci.txt through this setting.

Note  Using GetURL and GetPath, OEMs should set the new probe URL and path to a real URL+path that is directly reachable unless it is redirected by the Wi-Fi hotspot. The site must also not be on an allow list.
