Where is the homegroup password?

If you ever forget your homegroup password, you can find it by opening the HomeGroup section in the Network and Internet control panel.

To view the homegroup password

  1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.

  2. Click Network and Internet, and then click HomeGroup.

    Note

    If you browse Control Panel by icons, simply click HomeGroup.

  3. Click View or print the homegroup password.
