Starting Client for NFS

Applies To: Windows Server 2003 R2

To start Client for NFS from the Windows interface

  1. Open Services for Network File System: click Start, point to Programs or All Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Services for Network File System (NFS).

  2. If necessary, connect to the computer that you want to manage.

  3. Right-click Client for NFS, and then click Start Service.

To start Client for NFS from the command line

  1. Open an elevated privilege command prompt.

  2. At a command prompt, type:

    nfsadmin client [ComputerName] start

    Argument Description

    ComputerName

    The name of the computer on which you you want to start Client for NFS.
