View Runtime Statistics Using the Dashboard

Applies To: Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Vista

This topic describes how to use the dashboard to view runtime statistics for your servers. Real-time statistics are aggregated from one or more of your servers into a consolidated view on the Monitoring and Management page in IIS Manager. You can view information such as the number and size of cache hits, total requests, bandwidth savings percentage, response time, request distribution, and more. For descriptions of the column headers and data you can view, see the Monitoring and Management Page.

You can also view runtime statistics for your servers by reviewing the Application Request Routing (ARR) performance counters. For more information, see Using Performance Counters.

To view runtime statistics by using the dashboard

  1. Open IIS Manager.

  2. In the Connections pane, expand the server node and then expand the Server Farms node. Select the server farm for which you want to view runtime statistics.

  3. In the Server Farm pane, double-click Monitoring and Management.

  4. On the Monitoring and Management page, review the real-time statistics for your servers. You can also reset the runtime statistics and complete tasks to manage your servers.
