Set up a demo company with manufacturing data

Having a demo company with manufacturing data in Business Central can be useful when you want to:

  • Learn about the Business Central manufacturing functionality.

  • Demonstrate the Business Central manufacturing functionality.

  • Test the Business Central manufacturing functionality.

To set up a demo company with manufacturing data, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Search for Page icon in the upper-right corner of the page, and enter Companies.

  2. In the action bar, select New > Create New Company.

  3. On the Create New Company wizard page, select Next.

  4. Enter the company name, such as CRONUS Manufacturing.

  5. From the Select the data and setup to get started dropdown menu, select Evaluation - Contoso Sample Data.

  6. In Available modules, select the Manufacturing module.

  7. Select Next > Next > Finish.

The demo company with other demo data is a coffee machine manufacturing company that requires the services of Business Central. It adds the following manufacturing master data:
