Exercise - Configure AI-assisted tools for database development

In this exercise, you practice using AI-assisted development tools to design and implement SQL solutions. You work with GitHub Copilot in Visual Studio Code to generate T-SQL code, configure custom instruction files, and connect to MCP server endpoints for contextual database assistance.

Note

To complete this exercise, you need access to SQL Server 2022 or later, Visual Studio Code with the GitHub Copilot and MSSQL extensions installed, and an active GitHub Copilot subscription.
