Make and model worlds are a series of exciting, build battle style worlds.

Make and Model worlds bring the benefits of esports into scholastic settings. Because of its popularity, most students are already familiar with how to navigate and build in Minecraft. The classroom settings designed into the game and the lack of gore and other objectionable content also make it an ideal fit for academic settings. The open-ended nature of the game and in-game elements like Redstone, Code Builder, and Command Blocks, encourage students to move beyond just playing the game. It supports students into becoming game designers. Imagine the possibilities of students eventually competing with worlds of their own design!

In the immersive Minecraft environments, two teams compete in build battle challenges. They battle it out against the clock to design and build a themed object, chosen by the class or a teacher. A unique feature of these maps is that they invite other students to participate in the game by voting for their favorite build. A bonus feature of these worlds is that students can 3D export their designs at the end of the battle. And if the school has access to a 3D printer, they can print it. There are eight worlds in this genre:

  • Splat Racers
  • Binary Builders
  • Busy Bees
  • Gold Rush
  • Pirate Cove
  • Space Race
  • The Lost Library
  • 3D Print
