Exercise - Set the base price and create a customer-specific trade agreement

Scenario

You are responsible for maintaining the sales prices of the products in your organization. Due to an increased cost of delivery, you must increase the base price of the Full Finger BMX Gloves product. However, you want to provide a special pricing for the item for a specific customer, Karen Berg, to keep their interest in purchasing similar items from your organization. The customer can receive further favorable pricing if they buy more than three pieces (pcs).

  1. In the USRT company, go to Retail and Commerce > Products and categories > Released products.
  2. In the list, go to record 0007 or search for and select item 0007 in the Item number field.
  3. Open the record and scroll down to the Sell group.
  4. In the Base sales price section, change the Price (Base price) field from 19.99 to 21.99.
  5. In Retail and Commerce > Pricing and discounts > Trade agreement journals, select New.
  6. In the Name field, enter Retail.
  7. Select Save.
  8. In the Action Pane, select Lines.
  9. In the Party code type field, select Table.
  10. In the Account selection field, select 2001 Karen Berg.
  11. In the Item relation column, enter 0007.
  12. In the Amount in currency field, enter 18.49.
  13. Select New.
  14. In the Item relation field, enter 0007.
  15. Change the From value to 3.00.
  16. In the Amount in currency field, enter 17.99.
  17. In the Action Pane, select Validate.
  18. Select Validate all lines.
  19. Select OK.
  20. Select Post.
