Exercise - Create a count journal in Store Commerce and post in HQ

In this exercise, you will create a counting journal in Store Commerce and then post the quantities in Commerce Headquarters (HQ) by using the SANFRANCIS retail store Store Commerce in the company USRT.

  1. Sign in to the SANFRANCIS store by using the SANFRAN-1 with the Store Commerce application and operator ID 000713.
  2. From the home page, scroll to locate the Inventory section and then select the Stock count operation.
  3. Select the + icon to create a new stock count journal.
  4. When prompted, enter item 91001.
  5. When prompted, enter a counted quantity of 30. The item is added to the journal lines on the screen.
  6. Select + in the app bar to add another product to the journal.
  7. When prompted, enter Dress.
  8. From the Product search results list, select item 93024 (Ruffle Sleeve Print Dress).
  9. From the Summary page, in the Size drop-down menu, select size 4.
  10. Select the Select button in the app bar to complete the product selection.
  11. When prompted, enter a counted quantity of 10.
  12. Select Commit on the app bar to complete the count journal from Store Commerce.
  13. Go to HQ and sign in.
  14. In company USRT, go to Retail and Commerce > Inventory management > Stock counts.
  15. In the list, locate the counting record that has the description of Manual stock count at SANFRANCIS on [current date].
  16. Select the Journal hyperlink to open the Counting journal lines view. The items and counts that were created in Store Commerce will appear in the journal lines.
  17. Select Validate to confirm that all journal information is acceptable for posting, and then select OK on the dialog box that appears. A message should appear that the Journal is OK.
  18. Select Post to finalize the counting process. This action will adjust inventory for these items in the SANFRANCIS store warehouse to match the count information that was entered. Positive or negative adjustments will be posted, as necessary, to reset the inventory in the system to match the counted quantities.
