Set up a bin
For locations with the Bin Mandatory field enabled, items are stored in bins. As a result, Business Central will give instructions to warehouse employees to perform the following actions:
Put away items in bins
Move items from one bin to another
Pick items from bins
The smallest unit that you want the program to use should be created as a bin. For example, a shelf in the warehouse could be a bin; however, it might be more practical to create bins for each layer or divide a layer into several units.
Therefore, a bin code is often composed of several parts, such as W-01-001, W-01-002, and so on.
