Communication and collaboration in Teams

Completed

Schools and systems work collaboratively for the improvement of student outcomes. With an approach that supports shared and distributive leadership both for the system and the school level, we increase the leadership capacity to support growth and opportunity. Using Microsoft class teams can help create cohorts of teachers and teacher leaders to grow a learning environment that improves learning for the all students in the diverse population.

Use case

Use PLC teams to connect subject area teachers from all different school sites - receive top down info, share resources, access planning guides, and other collaborations.

  1. Select the three dots (...) then More options next to the team name to bring up the menu for managing the team.
  2. Select Manage team to access a variety of options related to the team.

On the Manage team page you are able to support your members in a variety of ways such as:

  • Add members
  • Change member roles and access (member vs owner)
  • Change permissions
  • Add a team photo
  • @mention members

You can create channels in your team to allow for collaboration among members of that channel. You can use channels to communicate directly with a grade level, team, or committee.
