En el ejemplo de código siguiente se muestra el uso de la clase para mostrar ayuda HelpProvider contextual en un formulario que contiene cuatro campos de dirección. En el ejemplo se usa el SetHelpString método para establecer el texto información sobre herramientas de ayuda. Al usar el botón Ayuda contextual y hacer clic en el cursor ayuda en un campo de dirección, aparece la información sobre herramientas de ayuda con el texto especificado. Al presionar la tecla F1 con el foco en un campo de dirección, se muestra el archivo de ayuda mspaint.chm porque la HelpNamespace propiedad se ha establecido en mspaint.chm. Cada instancia de HelpProvider mantiene una colección de referencias a controles asociados. Para asociar un archivo de Ayuda a HelpProvider, establezca la HelpNamespace propiedad . Especifique el tipo de Ayuda proporcionado llamando al SetHelpNavigator método y proporcionando un HelpNavigator valor para el control especificado. Proporcione la palabra clave o el tema de la Ayuda llamando al SetHelpKeyword método . Para abrir ayuda en un tema específico, la palabra clave debe pasarse en el formulario topicName.htm.
Para asociar una cadena de Ayuda específica a un control, use el SetHelpString método . La cadena que se asocia a un control mediante este método se muestra en una ventana emergente cuando el usuario presiona la tecla F1 mientras el control tiene el foco.
Si no se ha establecido la HelpNamespace propiedad , debe usar el SetHelpString método para proporcionar el texto de la Ayuda. Si ha establecido y HelpNamespace la cadena de Ayuda, la Ayuda basada en tendrá HelpNamespace prioridad.
