Developed as a decorative typeface in 1935, Runic Condensed has short serifs and little contrast between the thick and thin strokes. In this very condensed typeface, the x-height is large, with very short ascenders and descenders. Legible only in large point sizes, Runic Condensed capably captures a reader's attention. Use this typeface with care and in small doses for headlines, titles, and other display purposes.
