Dear Azure Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I am encountering difficulties requesting a quota increase for the Standard_NV12s_v3 GPU (12 vCPUs, 1 GPU) in my Azure subscription to support development and testing of Machine Learning workloads in my Azure Machine Learning workspace, "softquantus," located in Norway East (northeurope). Specifically, I am unable to request a GPU quota through the Azure Portal, as the interface only allows me to request a CPU quota.

Details of the Issue:

  • Workspace: softquantus
  • Region: Norway East (northeurope)
  • VM Family: Standard NVv3 Family (Standard_NV12s_v3)
  • Quota Requested: 12 vCPUs (1 GPU)
  • Purpose: Development and testing of AI + Quantum hybrid training using PyTorch and PennyLane frameworks
  • Problem: When attempting to request a quota increase via Subscriptions > Usage + quotas or through a support ticket, I can only select CPU-based quotas, with no option to request GPU quotas for the NVv3 series.

My subscription is [insert subscription type, e.g., Pay-As-You-Go, or leave as "active"], and I have verified that Norway East supports the NVv3 series. However, the lack of a GPU quota request option is preventing me from proceeding with my Machine Learning development.

Could you please assist with the following:

  1. Clarify why I am unable to request a GPU quota and only see CPU quota options.
  2. Enable or guide me to request the Standard_NV12s_v3 quota (12 vCPUs, 1 GPU) for my workspace.
  3. Confirm the status of any existing quota requests for this VM family.
  4. If GPU quotas are unavailable in Norway East, suggest alternative regions or GPU families (e.g., NCasT4_v3 or NVadsA10 v5) suitable for my AI + Quantum hybrid training use case.

This setup is critical for my development tests, and I would greatly appreciate your prompt assistance. Please let me know if you need additional details, such as my subscription ID, specific error messages, or screenshots of the quota request interface.

Thank you for your support!

    Bonjour Roytman Piccoli

    Merci
