ConfigurationElement.GetTransformedAssemblyString(String) Method

Returns the transformed version of the specified assembly name.

Parameters

assemblyName
String

The name of the assembly.

Returns

The transformed version of the assembly name. If no transformer is available, the assemblyName parameter value is returned unchanged. The TypeStringTransformer property is null if no transformer is available.

Remarks

The SerializeElement method and the SerializeToXmlElement method call this method in order to transform an assembly name when an earlier version of the .NET Framework is targeted.
