"I added a new PC with both an SSD and an HDD to my local client-server network, which includes four computers and a modem, all connected via a switch. The issue is that I cannot access the new PC from other computers, as it requires network administrator permission. Additionally, I cannot access the server from the new device, even though it appears on the network. What could be the problem?"

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

To answer your question, please kindly check it below:

    Cannot access new PC:

1.Check that if the user account you're using on the new PC has the necessary permissions to access the server.

2.Check if there's any firewall on both the new PC and the server blocking the connection.

    Cannot access server:

1.Check if the IP configuration on new PC is correct.

2.Check if you can ping the server from new PC.

3.Check if there's any error message when you failed to connect to server.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.

    Best regards,

    Jill Zhou
