Bonjour,

    Hello Christophe,

Thank you for posting question on Microsoft Windows Forum.

Based on the provided error code 0xc004f050 occurs when upgrading to Windows 11 Pro usually. Because the Windows Store is trying to activate a Pro license on a Home edition without the necessary files being swapped over first, or there might be a mismatch between the license type and the installed bits.

Checking your current edition by going to Settings > System > About. Confirm whether your PC is still on Windows 11 Home or if it attempted to switch to Pro for Workstations.

The suggestion for the workaround here is to use "Generic Key". This will tell Windows to trigger the upgrade process so it can then look for your digital license.

    • Disconnect from the Internet (Turn off Wi-Fi or unplug the Ethernet). This prevents Windows from checking the key against the server before it finishes the local upgrade. Go to Settings > System > Activation > Change product key. Enter the Windows 11 Pro generic product key: VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T Click Next. Windows should start the upgrade process. The PC will restart. Reconnect to the Internet after the restart. Your PC should now show "Windows 11 Pro" and activate automatically using the digital license linked to your Microsoft account.

Since you are on a corporate network/environment, the Store sometimes defaults to the highest available tier (Workstations). Ignore that buy button. Once the generic key forces the OS to Pro, your digital entitlement will "claim" the installation, and that Store page should change to "Owned."

Otherwise, Contact Microsoft Support https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/contactus. Since you paid €145 and the Store now only shows Pro for Workstations, you may need Microsoft to manually reassign your entitlement. Provide proof of purchase (invoice/receipt) and request correction.

Hope the above information is helpful! If it is. Free feel to hit "Accepted" for benefitting others in community having the same issue too.
