Windows Installer 4.5 Beta is Now Posted

The Windows Installer 4.5 Beta binaries, CHM, headers, and libs are all now accessible at https://connect.microsoft.com

We are eager to hear your feedback on our new features.  We’d also like your feedback if you find compatibility problems that are unique to the Windows Installer 4.5 beta.  The feedback link on the Windows Installer 4.5 Beta connect site at https://connect.microsoft.com/feedback/default.aspx?SiteID=432.

    Hello Frederik, I hadn't seen it that way when I wrote it but it does read that way doesn't it ;^)  Yes, it is quite funny to read now that I look at it that way. There are two missing background details.  The first background detail is that there was a big reorganization after Windows Vista shipped and the Management team above the Windows Installer team changed.  The "Alumni Management" were the managers before the reorg.  The second background detail is that our part of Microsoft is organized to manage in cross-discipline trios: one dev, one test, and one PM. I have the same "why so many ...?" reaction to the number of "Producers" that scroll by on the credits for some movies and television shows. Still, it's funny. Hope all is well, Robert
