Set up Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability

Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability includes solutions that are built on the capabilities of multiple products, including:

  • Microsoft Sustainability Manager
  • Common Data Model
  • Microsoft 365
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Surface
  • Windows 11
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Microsoft Power Platform

Use Microsoft Cloud Solution Center to set up and configure the solutions. Solution Center provides a central place where you can deploy and configure solutions from Microsoft.

It can take up to three hours for Microsoft Sustainability Manager to become available for deployment on your tenant after you acquire a license.

Use Microsoft Cloud Solution Center for setup

Follow these steps to use Solution Center to deploy solutions.

  1. In Solution Center, select View all solutions on the Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability tile.

  2. Select the Add box on the tiles for solution that you want to deploy, and then select the Deploy button. Solution Center guides you through the deployment process.

    For solutions that don't have an Add box, select the Go to setup or Learn more button on the tile. Either the setup page or an information page appears for the solution.

When you deploy Microsoft Sustainability Manager, including the Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability data model, don't deploy into your default environment. Instead, on the Select a deployment environment page, select Create a new Power Platform environment.

Use Power Platform Admin Center to set up Sustainability Manager

Follow these steps to use Power Platform Admin Center to deploy solutions. You need a Power Platform environment with Dataverse before following these steps.

  1. In Power Platform Admin Center, select Resources and then Dynamics 365 Apps.

  2. Select the related solutions:

    • Microsoft Sustainability Manager Premium (for Premium) or Microsoft Sustainability Manager (for Essentials): Install this solution to add Sustainability Manager to your environment. This selection installs the built-in Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability data models. You need to install built-in emission factor libraries and demo data solutions separately after installing this solution.
    • Microsoft Sustainability Manager Demo Data: Install this solution to add demo Sustainability Manager data to your environment.
    • Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability Supplier Engagement: Install this solution to add the ESG value chain solution to your environment.

  3. Select Install, and then select the environment for the installation.

नोट

If you change the environment URL of the Power Platform environment, some connection references used in Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability won't redirect to the new URL. You need to edit existing connection references to point to the new connection.
