In April 2021, the European Commission adopted a legislative proposal for a Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). The directive requires companies within its scope to report on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) matters using a double materiality perspective in compliance with European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).

To help you understand and explore the data required for CSRD reporting, Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability includes a CSRD premium template in Purview Compliance Manager.

The CSRD template in Compliance Manager follows the EFRAG IG 3: Detailed ESRS Datapoints document published by EFRAG.
