Determines whether the specified data type can be bound to a field in the FormView control.

Parameters

type: Type

A Type that represents the data type to check.

Returns

Boolean

true if the specified data type can be bound to a field in the FormView control; otherwise, false.

Remarks

The IsBindableType method is a helper method called by the FormView control to determine whether the specified data type can be bound to a field in the control. The FormView control supports the following data types:

All primitive data types, such as Boolean, Byte, Int32, and so on.
DateTime
Decimal
Guid
String

When extending the FormView class, you can override this method to add or restrict the data types that can be used in a FormView control.
