ToolStripRenderer.OnRenderGrip(ToolStripGripRenderEventArgs) Method

Definition

Raises the RenderGrip event.

protected:
 virtual void OnRenderGrip(System::Windows::Forms::ToolStripGripRenderEventArgs ^ e);
protected virtual void OnRenderGrip (System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripGripRenderEventArgs e);
abstract member OnRenderGrip : System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripGripRenderEventArgs -> unit
override this.OnRenderGrip : System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripGripRenderEventArgs -> unit
Protected Overridable Sub OnRenderGrip (e As ToolStripGripRenderEventArgs)

Parameters

Remarks

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnRenderGrip method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnRenderGrip(ToolStripGripRenderEventArgs) in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnRenderGrip(ToolStripGripRenderEventArgs) method so that registered delegates receive the event.
