Configure time-off request types

You can configure time-off request types to help customer service representatives (service representatives or representatives), supervisors, and schedulers in your organization handle leave requests in an efficient and organized manner.

Key features include:

  • Service representatives can submit time-off requests directly from their schedule views and view approved requests in their schedule calendar.
  • Supervisors can receive time-off requests via email or in-app alerts, and manage them in the Request Management view.
  • Schedulers can stay informed of approvals through notifications, and view time-off bookings in the schedule view.

Prerequisites

  • Complete the steps in Set up user management.
  • For service representatives to be able to submit their time off requests, make sure that they're assigned to the correct manager.

Configure a time-off request type

  1. In the site map of the Copilot Service admin center app, go to Operations, and then select Workforce management. The Workforce management page appears.
  2. In Time management, select Manage next to Timeoff request types.
  3. On the Time-off request types page, select New. The New Time Off Type page appears.
  4. Enter the following details:
    1. Name: The name you want for your time off type. For example, sick leave or vacation.
    2. Description (optional): The description of the activity.
    3. Owner: Select the name of the owner for the activity type.
    4. Color (optional): If you want to change the color of how the activity type appears in bookings, select the color box, and then choose the color you want from the color palette.
    5. Dark Theme Color (optional): If you want to change the dark theme color, select the color box, and then choose the color you want from the color palette.
  5. Select Save & Close.
