OneDrive sync issues - oneDrive says 0x800704cf but internet is on

Question

I'm using windows 10 fully update and the active OneDrive version is 23.214.1015.0001.

The PC is Ethernet and Wifi connected, but both the Ethernet and WiFi cards say: "no access to Internet"..

However, as I said in the question, I can use the browser and then write this request for help while One Drive doesnt connect.

I noticed this problem at noon time, while everything worked fine till friday afternoon..

I ran the diagnosys as suggested, and the summary is shown.

Mi spiace se la domanda formulata in inglese ha toccato sensibilità, ma ho adottato l’inglese dopo aver letto nelle raccomandazioni che veniva indicato l’uso dell’inglese come facilitazione alla interazione con una platea più ampia.

Cosa che è rapidamente avvenuta e che mi ha indirizzato alla soluzione.

I preferred not to modify the current DNS (I’m using Google DNS), but based on your reference to “network” as a possible source of the problem, I rebooted both the network and the PC. After that OneDrive reconnected and got synchronyzed.

Hi Gianni, I am Sumit, an Independent Advisor. Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

See if a DNS change helps.

1. Press Windows+R keys on the keyboard, or Right-click Start on the Taskbar and choose Run.

Type ncpa.cpl

Press Enter.

2. Right-click your device and select Properties.
3. Double click IPv4 options to open IPv4 properties.

4.Select the ""Use the following DNS servers"" radio box, and enter the following in the addresses.

1.1.1.1 1.1.2.2

5. Click OK and OK again.

Restart your computer.
