When you try to move your authenticator app (like Microsoft Authenticator) to a new device, you might run into issues because the verification codes it generates are often tied to that specific phone.

If you're using Microsoft Authenticator and have cloud backup turned on for your old device, you can easily recover your accounts on your new phone by signing in with the same Microsoft account.

Important: You can only backup and restore on the same device type: accounts backed up using an iOS device cannot be restored on an Android device.
