Hello Vittorio. Thanks for getting back. Vittorio. You're obviously doing all the right things redeeming the key, reinstalling from the xbox app, restarting and even trying Power Shell. The frustration is completely understandable, especially where the format of the DLC shows as purchased but wont activate in-game.
The PowerShell command from the article you linked is designed to re-register all the default Windows Store apps but with the caveat of that it will throw errors if certain packages are missing, corrupt or already registered. That is normal and does not indicate you failed this process completely.
Since the DLC is still not recognizing, here are some more in-depth steps to consider trying:
- Verify DLC ownership via the Xbox app. Open the Xbox app and go your Library and look for Awakening the Nightmare. If it’s listed on its own try launching or installing it directly from there.
- Check installation folder.
Navigate to C:\Program Files\ModifiableWindowsApps or C:\Program Files\WindowsApps (you may need admin rights). Look for folders associated with Halo Wars 2 and the DLC. If the DLC folder does not show up, it may not have installed correctly even though it shows as purchased. - Check region settings Navigate to Settings > Time & language > Language & region Make sure you're in the same region as when you redeemed the key
If none of this works the problem could be how the entitlement is associated with your account and in that case it's best to contact Xbox Support with proof of purchase and screenshots to show the DLC as "Purchased" but doesn't work.
