Hi Mario,
You're right ms-settings:defaultappsbyfiletype used to work but now often redirects to the Settings home page, likely due to a change in Windows behavior. Unfortunately, there's currently no direct shortcut that consistently opens the "Choose default apps by file type" page. For now, the quickest way is to go to Settings > Apps > Default apps, then scroll to the bottom and click “Choose defaults by file type.” I know it’s a few extra steps, but hopefully Microsoft brings back full support for deeper shortcuts.
Warm regards,
Cherrelyn
