È possibile recuperare un oggetto ListViewInsertionMark dalla InsertionMark proprietà di un controllo e usarlo per indicare visivamente la posizione di rilascio prevista in un'operazione ListView di trascinamento della selezione quando un elemento viene trascinato in una nuova posizione.

Questa funzionalità funziona solo quando la proprietà è impostata su true e quando il ListView.AutoArrangeListView controllo non ordina automaticamente gli elementi. Per evitare l'ordinamento automatico, la ListView.Sorting proprietà deve essere impostata su SortOrder.None e la ListView.View proprietà deve essere impostata su View.LargeIcon, View.SmallIcono View.Tile. La funzionalità di contrassegno di inserimento è disponibile solo in Windows XP e nella famiglia Windows Server 2003 quando l'applicazione chiama il Application.EnableVisualStyles metodo. Nei sistemi operativi precedenti, qualsiasi codice relativo al contrassegno di inserimento verrà ignorato e il contrassegno di inserimento non verrà visualizzato.
