This article describes the new features, improvements and fixes to existing functionality that are included in this build.
Installer version 2.64.100.25353 - Microsoft Store version 11.2601.100.0 updates
New features
The action ‘Throw custom error’ has now been introduced in Power Automate for desktop, allowing you to define and trigger custom exceptions in your flows, and even combine them with ‘On block error’, enabling more intentional error handling.
Dataverse solution version 1.9.35.0 or later is required. To confirm the latest version used, go to the Power Automate portal, then select the Solutions page, go to the History tab, and search for the key term ‘MicrosoftFlowExtensionsCore’. Check the Version column to verify the most recent version update.
Enhancements & Improvements
Standard and premium connectors are now also reflected in Power Automate for desktop, and standard connectors can also be used by free work or school accounts, offering consistency with cloud flows.
Updating and saving the properties of a flow now creates a new version in its version history. If the latest version was published, the new one is also automatically published. If the latest version was draft, the new version also becomes draft and needs to be published to have the changes applied, as explained in the confirmation message upon saving the changed properties.
The error handling screen in individual actions and the ‘On block error’ action has been redesigned to be more intuitive.
The tooltip of the Sender parameter in the ‘Retrieve email messages from Outlook’ action has been enhanced to include the potential X.500 format limitation.
