Hi!
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Community Forum. Please note the possible causes of getting error messaged upon logging in.
- Typo in the email address: Even a small mistake (like
.coninstead of.com) can trigger this. - Wrong domain: Microsoft accounts typically end in
@outlook.com,@hotmail.com, or@live.com. If you're using a work or school account, it might not be recognized here. - Account doesn’t exist or was deleted: If the account was closed or never created, Microsoft won’t be able to find it.
- Trying to sign in with an alias or linked account. Only the primary Microsoft account email should be used.
What You Can Do
- Double-check the email address: Make sure it’s spelled correctly and matches the one used to create the account.
- Try signing in from another Microsoft service: For example, go to Outlook.com or account.microsoft.com to see if the account works there.
- Recover the account: Use Microsoft’s account recovery page to check if the account can be retrieved.
Let me know how is it going.
