The error message "We could not transfer you to 000 (transfer group)" in the Microsoft Teams mobile app generally arises when switching between organizations or accounts does not occur due to authentication or sync issues. For example, some users may be able to switch to the target organization or account on the desktop version, but encounter an error on the mobile app. Mobile apps have been known to create issues, primarily if the cached data is corrupted, the Microsoft Authenticator app is outdated, or if the Conditional Access policies prevent mobile devices from being compliant.
The fixes for this issue are straightforward. The first one to try is clearing the Teams app cache and reinstalling it so that no local data is still present. The second fix would be to check and see if the target organization is available under the “Accounts and Orgs” section of the Teams app in the desktop version, because it is possible that the mobile app does not have the correct target organization stored due to not properly syncing the list. The third fix would be to update the Microsoft Authenticator app, because this app is responsible for transferral of secure tokens when switching between accounts. If the issue persists and the transfer error continues, switching organizations on the desktop or web version models of Teams is an option, because this will reset the session data.
