When you deleted it, did you still have sound on your computer?
There is no difference in performance or functionality between the two names: they refer to the same Realtek driver technology. However, removing Realtek high-definition audio may result in lower sound quality and basic sound enhancements such as surround sound, equalizer settings, and microphone noise suppression.
