Dear Azure Support Team,
I am writing to request a refund for unexpected charges totaling approximately 690,000 KRW (Invoice #G128755022) that accumulated on our Azure account.
Our Situation:
We are a startup company that received Azure startup credits to build and utilize Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for our infrastructure. However, we encountered the following issues:
- Technical Difficulties: Due to our team's limited technical expertise with AKS, we were unable to properly configure and utilize the service as initially planned.
- Unintentional Abandonment: After encountering these technical challenges, the AKS resources were inadvertently left running without our knowledge, resulting in substantial charges that far exceeded our anticipated usage.
- Credit Expectation: We believed our startup credits would cover the costs and were unaware that we had exhausted the credit balance or that charges were accumulating on our payment method.
Our Request:
As a startup with limited resources, this unexpected charge of 690,000 KRW represents a significant financial burden. We kindly request a full or partial refund of these charges, considering:
- This was our first experience with Azure AKS
- The resources were not actively used for productive purposes
- We lacked proper monitoring setup to detect the ongoing costs
- We immediately terminated all resources upon discovering the charges
We have since implemented proper cost alerts and monitoring to prevent such situations in the future. We are committed to continuing our use of Azure services with better cost management practices.
We would greatly appreciate your understanding and consideration of our situation. Please let us know if you require any additional information or documentation to process this refund request.
Thank you for your time and assistance.Dear Azure Support Team,
