AADSTS5000225 – Tenant blocked due to inactivity, cannot leave or delete tenant

Question

My Microsoft Entra ID tenant has been blocked due to inactivity.

Error code: AADSTS5000225

Message: This tenant has been blocked due to inactivity

The tenant is more than 2 years old.

I cannot sign in, leave, or delete the tenant due to this error.

The tenant still appears in my tenant list and causes login issues.

I understand this requires backend action.

Could a Microsoft moderator assist with tenant cleanup or confirmation that it cannot be removed?
